Taking my cat ...Thank you for your poignant story. Taking my cat to the vet to be euthanized was the hardest thing that I have ever done. His last this, his last that, his last journey. It was so difficult. He didn't want to go. He saw me with the carrier and tried to hide. That was brutal. I put one foot in front of the other and just went through the motions. I felt so numb. We carried his cage to the vet through the quiet back streets so it was a peaceful journey. I thought of how, if he were well, he would have enjoyed such a beautiful sunny day. But he was too ill. Once we arrived at the vet clinic it was easier. It was such a caring and supportive environment. The vet and staff, who had known us for year, shared some nice memories about our cat prior to injecting him. We stroked him gently him while he slipped away peacefully. We spent a few minutes alone with our cat afterward and talked to him and thanked him for all the years of happiness he brought to our home. He was finally at peace. Our home feels much different now. I feel a form of emptiness and yearning. For each experience you shared with your pet, no matter how small, you need to go through it without him in order to adjust to the loss. I am eager to receive back his cremated remains, so he can again be back in the home that he loved.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9055588.post-45080492291130910222010-08-30T19:17:30.061+12:002010-08-30T19:17:30.061+12:00Had no idea that a swallow's nest was good for...Had no idea that a swallow's nest was good for your health. I think he finally realised that he should have put it in writing and was trying to put it right retrospectively which of course is not the way to go. His property manager kept saying that he'd tried to go about things "the gentlemanly way" by not putting it in writing. I found somewhere else yesterday thank goodness so hopefully things will begin to look up from now on.damask22https://www.blogger.com/profile/05923507678308127738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9055588.post-69006478385579850092009-03-18T12:38:00.000+13:002009-03-18T12:38:00.000+13:00Really sounds like the landlord from hell! He has actually broken tenancy laws by not giving you a written notice to end the tenancy in the first place (see http://www.virtualrealty.co.nz/endoftenancy.html). Have you thought of getting advice from a lawyer through the Citizen's Advice Bureau (free)? I hope that things do finally work out for you and you can find somewhere nice to live in peace.KathyRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06232371230455661210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9055588.post-28038266251843768692009-01-24T11:05:00.000+13:002009-01-24T11:05:00.000+13:00Hi Jen, sorry to hear you are not having a good ti...Hi Jen, sorry to hear you are not having a good time at the moment.
